Here's hoping the reanimated corpse of Pau Gasol can give us 15 minutes off the bench.

Hopefully, at least for a few a months until Nurk comes back.
At least he's a good chemistry guy, and maybe he can teach Collins a thing or two.

Fallout with China might lead to significantly lower salary cap. I wonder if the Blazers are now regretting all that money they gave to Lillard.

Re: Portland Trail Blazers 2018/19 Thread.
lol @ NBA calling the tweet regrettable and now changing their mind because of public perception, and now backing up the tweet.
Adam Silver and their staff's morality is like chaff blown and tossed by the wind. No standards or ethics, but purely whatever pleases the masses. He should join politics, he'd fit in.
It's also funny that they want to allow NBA executives/players/etc to express themselves now freely. lol I can't even do it anymore...

Adam Carolla would be a better choice... More backbone, and moderately entertaining.
Probably better educated, as well.

It’s been fascinating to watch this issue expose the NBA, and it’s coaches, and players, for what they truly are. Normally unabashedly outspoken coaches and players suddenly silent because they don’t know Chinese “history.” Much like the USWST and their silence regarding Sahar Khodayari; they fight for human rights only when it’s convenient, costs them little, and earns them easy points with their echo chamber pals.UOducksTK1 wrote:lol @ NBA calling the tweet regrettable and now changing their mind because of public perception, and now backing up the tweet.

Just curious, have there been players making any sort of protest during the Chinese national anthem at these pre-season games?

That's humans in general. There are shockingly few people who will stick to their values when the cost is high (socially, financially, or punitively).dthomas=ddixon wrote:It’s been fascinating to watch this issue expose the NBA, and it’s coaches, and players, for what they truly are.
