kim mulkey is a pretty awful human being.

it'd be a huge win for us if iowa won tonight. they're very good, but baylor is a cut above.

from what i've seen, mccowen is more physically imposing and the better defender, but that's because mccowen is like four inches taller than megan gustafson, iowa's post. gustafson is a more versatile scorer and can do more things. she's about ruthy's height, maybe an inch shorter. mccowen is so dominant because you can't keep her off the block and barely needs to jump to snag offensive rebounds. gustafson would present her own set of problems for us, but i think we'd match up OK.

I think the graphic showed last week that Ruthy and the Iowa post were 1 and 2 in field goal % in the country.
But with Iowa we might only have to worry about her, where as Baylor more players to deal with.

During the celebration/final reaction did anyone notice Sabrina run straight to Campbell (blowing off a female coach trying to hug her on the way?) lol

Didn't he have a lot to do with her recruitment?

After the first quarter, Baylor leads 21-13. Gustafson has 9 points, 4-8, 1-2 FT's. Baylor is much more athletic than is Iowa. Aside from getting the ball in to Gustafson, Iowa didn't try getting points in the paint and shot from outside, which didn't work. 41-27 at halftime, Gustafson scored 4 points in the 2nd q, 2 of them on the last shot. Iowa missed 7 of their last 8 shots including 3 layups.
McCowan for MSU is a much more intimidating player than are the Twin Towers of Baylor, McCowan stayed at the basket on both ends of the court, Baylor's are much more active on the court. Final: 85-53 It's hard to learn anything about Baylor from this game, Iowa couldn't offer any real competition in any area of the game. Baylor's 1 loss this season was to Stanford in December.

So Baylor has two strong bigs, in Cox (6'4) and Brown (6'7).
The whole team looks very talented, but Oregon St says Marie Gulich single handedly handled those two bigs.

Match-up wise, Erin Boley is going to have to find a way to be the exploit to the mis match.
I have a feeling it will be
Sabrina vs 6'1 Richards
Maite vs 5'8 Landrum
Erin vs 5'8 Jackson
Ruthy vs 6'7 Brown
Satou vs 6'4 Cox
