Pac-12 men’s basketball coaches met during the Final Four in Minneapolis to review the league’s performance. Scott said the conference could decide as soon as Thursday whether to expand from an 18-game to 20-game league schedule, most likely starting in 2020-21, whether to massively raise its standards for non-conference scheduling and how involved the league office will be in imposing those standards.

I guess they're looking for any way to increase SOS. By itself, whether you're playing an 18 or a 20 game conference schedule, it doesn't make much difference to me. Either way you're not playing every conference opponent twice.

Get it up to 22, so you play every team twice again.

I guess the 10 home games is nice, but the simplest way to do the 20 games is for each team to skip another team completely; the 18 at least is every team once.

They'll do this, but they won't go to 8 games for football...

This is so bad, it guarantees extra losses for the conference. Basketball screwing themselves just like Football is already screwed.
