This will prolly be based on their overall coaching record such as Akron's Tom Arth who I'm surprised wasn't fired after just a single season, but if you want to also focus on the stuff they have done, we could also include people like Ohio State's Woody Hayes who had extreme anger issues and actually punched a Clemson player in his final game, thank god Bear Bryant teached him a lesson in the 1978 Sugar Bowl.

Every coach that Arizona has hired over the past 15 or so years. Amazing how horrible that team has been when you consider they should be recruiting from Phoenix, Vegas, So Cal, Texas, etc.

I'd say Buddy Teevins and Walt Harris from Stanford, as well as anyone who's ever coached at Vanderbilt (except James Franklin) and Rice (Except the former Texas QB).

The only good season I remember them having was the 2014 one where they made a NY6 bowl and even upset us before we got revenge on them and went to the CFP.

The worst I think I have seen is Jerry Pettibone back in the early 90's with the Beavers. He basically had no passing game, and he was running the triple-option Wishbone that had gone out of style along with leather helmets. I went to see a game (the same day Kenny Wheaton made that pick 6) all excited because the QB at the time had gone to my high school, but watching him try a pass was like watching someone shoot into the dark. A sportswriter at the time described it as the nation's only 'prevent offense'. Pettibone ended his tenure at OSU 13-52-1. Top that if you can.

Petiteboner was great! loved that guy.

I vaguely remember OSU going from basically a run and shoot style offense to a triple option.

I looked it up and they went from Kraighthorpe's "air express" offense to a wishbone offense. That must have been quite the stylistic whiplash for the upperclassmen in that transition.

Mike Locksley deserves special mention for getting hired by Maryland at 2.5 million a year with a 3-31 career record when they hired him. He did way exceed that past record by being 11-21 in his latest stint there.
