Have we ever had both #1 seeds knocked out in the first round?

Lakers lose in 6 to the 41-41 Warriors.
Magic lose in 6 to the below .500 Bucks.
Raptors lose in 6 to the just-over .500 Pistons.
Clippers lose in 4 by 3 blowouts to the Rockets (who are an excellent team of course, but sweep?)
Mavericks lose in 6 to the Sonics (not as surprising)
Weirdest postseason ever.

Rockets v. Blazers is the real finals.

Re: 2001 Playoffs Round 1 (Games 4-7)
If you include 3 east teams luckily making to playoffs against 2 west teams luckily getting in. Yes west had 6 50 wins teams. Definitely more difficult. Compared to 4 east 50 win teams.
And you end up with a 5 and 8th seed east and west/ 3-7th seed vs 2-6th seed west and east
More balanced than ever

There was another where the 8 seeded warriors won it all which was random and crazy. But this had 5-6 series that went totally wonky

Orlando would be an 8th seed in West.jibbajabba614 wrote:If you include 3 east teams luckily making to playoffs against 2 west teams luckily getting in. Yes west had 6 50 wins teams. Definitely more difficult. Compared to 4 east 50 win teams.
