What's with the announcers always pronouncing this name with an "n" in it? They say Ungalele or something like that. I'm just curious why it's pronounced how it is?

Letter G

This letter makes the sound of ng in English, as in the words 'sing', 'ping', or 'ranga'.

I believe the 'n' pronunciation is actually correct

Ooey uNga is my understanding but we do have some poly speakers on the board who are always helpful

Gosh it being Poly I'd think it would be pronounced "Oo ee ah gah ley ley ee" but I am not Poly, would be interesting if the "ag" is an "ang" sound or a glottal stop like "guh"

LOL. I wouldn't rely on Dabo to learn to pronounce any word in the English language...

It's pronounced.....OO EE AH NGAH LEH LEH EE. The G is pronounced like the NG in the word LONG.
