We need new flags!!!!

Hey all,

Here's some video I shot from my seat in the Ohio State endzone (that's my brother and I yelling "OOOOOOO!!!" when the Ducks run out).

As flashy as our uniforms and facilities are, the Rose Bowl made it woefully obvious that our stadium image needs a little work. This video shows it all. Look at how ghetto our flags are compared to those giant tOSU flags!

Uncle Phil, if by chance you ever troll these forums, then please, I beg you... donate money to the university for new band uniforms, band scholarships and new stadium flags! If you're feeling generous, perhaps you could even throw in some tanning beds to remedy that pasty Pacific Northwest look? I mean, I know this is a football game and not a beauty contest... but... damn!

Had a great time at the Rose Bowl, and the Ohio State people around me were fantastic. But all of us shared a bit of a laugh at the inadequacies of Oregon's band/flags.

Those bigger flags are nice, but it takes two people to carry each one. They are definitely difficult to handle!

The age old question rears its ugly head again, does size really matter?!?

Our flags did look a little small at the RB, but in our 60k person stadium they look just right, just like tOSU's flags probably would look like overkill in Autz but perfect size in the Shoe.

Its all about proportion... hahaha

Yeah but when you take a away weekends because we all have fun on weekends and forget about Oregon football. It's really only 170 days.

And we are asleep for about 8 hours a day, so really we are only 133 days away.

And with Ducks bball finally playing good, the next 3 months will fly without boredom! So really, we only have to wait 75 days.

And when you round down, we are really only 2 months away from Oregon Football.

We're going to make this an annual tradition... each year, we're going on a road trip to an away UO game... someplace far off that requires a road trip, so UO, UW and OSU don't count (because I live in Seattle).

That's cool..I have been trying to make at least one "away" game each year for a number of years now...Its always fun especially when that trip takes one to a new venue.....i.e. Michigan, Tennessee, etc......I am just happy I didnt make the trek to BSU this past year.....lol

Now, back on topic....I personally thot it looked rediculous having flags that required two persons to hold into the air and run with....
It looked like a 4-4 legged men running around with 4 huge flags....Just not my cup of tea.....But, thats just me..Our flag seems just right....
