Riley to stay at OSU

Post by goducks »

ESPN is now reporting that Riley has just signed a three year contract extension with OSU that runs through 2019.

So, who will be USC's new coach?

Could be Jack Del Rio. It'll be interesting who they come up with!

I'm glad he is staying. I hate OSU, but Riley is a good guy who has always been loyal.

I just hate the barkrats so much that any discomfort they feel gives me pleasure. Riley is a decent guy, but their fans suck.

Has Del Rio been fired yet? I wonder if they go after Mora. I hope Sark takes the job.

Me neither, USC doesn't seem like a good fit. However, I would have loved to see him leave Oregon State. As long as he's there, they will continue to brew solid squads.

I don't think so, but his name is being tossed about as really interested. Also, Herm Edwards is vying for the job too.

It's good for the Ducks to have Oregon State be a good progam, as long as the CWs keep turing out like the last two...

Good for Riley, as much as I hate the Beavers, he is a good guy and he would be eaten alive at USC. As for USC, getting an NFL guy would most likely solidify the commitments of the recruits and probably close on some others. It will be interesting to see who they go after and get. Hopefully it is a long process and the Ducks benefit from it!

I wanted to see him go only for the total meltdown it would have caused amongst the beaver fan base... but Im glad he's staying, he seems like a good guy...

Until a coach has officially taken the position, I am not really ruling anyone out.

Also, on a side note. Anyone catch the douchebags on 95.5 this morning trying to stir up rumors that Bellotti could be a prime candidate for it? I love how that station is supposed to be a "ducks" station, but they spend the entire time honking on the beavs and trying to piss off duck fans.

Jack Del Rio as the new head coach, bringing Kennedy Pola and Norm Chow with him (no word on Orgeron). - thats pretty good staff. But its rumor right now because I havent heard anything or reading on SC board yet.
