that sounds funny, the track team having a weak area
Not really. Outside of Jordan Kent we really haven't had too much as far as jaw-dropping sprinters recently. We have killed in the long distance and mid distance runs and have some good throwers but sprints is definitely the weak link when compared to the other areas.
you left out what Ashton Eaton has done with the decathlon the last 2 years. :D

If we had LSU or Texas AM's sprint squad, I don't know if Oregon Track could be touched
Good call on that. LSU's sprint squad+ rest of Oregon's team= dynasty.

What did Oregon lose the NCAA's by... 6 points?

The lack of a decent, not great, relay team .
Autzen Stadium... Where great teams go to die...Hard!

Actually I believe that one of our normal distance runners had a last minute ankle or foot injury (McNamara?) and couldn't compete and he was expected to score points. I believe had he not been injured, we would have won title regardless of sprinters.

Actually I think it was Centrowitz who couldn't compete due to a foot injury and he was favored to win the event. They only had McNamera left to score points but couldn't place high enough to score enough points to pull out the win for the team.
