Oregon has had a knack for getting crucial JC / College transfers throughout Dana Altman’s tenor. Initially it was thought that he just needed bodies who could play immediately, due to the lack of depth when he took over the Oregon job.  However, it’s becoming apparent that Altman is using transfers in his every day recruiting, and who wouldn’t after some giant success from past transfers.

The most recent one, is 6’6″ 170 pound SG/SF Brandon Austin. The nation’s #43 ranked prospect was highly recruited and ranked out of high school, before committing to Providence. Just last month he was suspended for the entire season and decided to transfer. He is fully committed to Oregon now according to ESPN, and will be eligible for the 2014 season.
