Well, surprise surprise. Oregon Recruiting strikes again! No, we didn’t land a commit, but we did all of a sudden become a major player in Jamil Wilson’s recruitment as he cut his list and we made the final seven according to Mark Miller at Wishoops.com.

An outstanding prospect with tremendous athleticism and length, Wilson said he has narrowed his list of potential schools to Duke, Kentucky, Marquette, Michigan State, Oregon, Purdue and Texas.

His scout bio lists him as a player who excels at finishing and has great versatility. Is shaping up to become one of the nation’s best athletes and is drawing comparisons to Ex Tar Heel and current Atalanta Hawk, Marvin Williams.

Wilson is currently in the Portland area playing in the Nike Global Games where only 30 American high school seniors play against some of the worlds best high school players.

Last Saturday evening Head Coach Ernie Kent was seen showing a recruit the Autzen facilities and the surrounding area. Could this be thy mystery recruit in town last weekend?
