Economy

Post by dd10snoop28 »

Why are we seeing the largest workforce exodus in the history of the U.S. in the past few months during the same time that we have the most job openings since 2009?

Also happening in Oregon:

https://www.oregonlive.com/business/202 ... ed-up.html

"The number of people quitting without new jobs is soaring at Oregon’s fastest rate in at least two decades, up an astonishing 40% since July. The number of Oregonians quitting their jobs actually started picking up last spring, just as the number of job openings jumped amid a rush of hiring as pandemic-era business restrictions eased."

Apparently, the Oregonian has no idea what is causing the mass exodus of workers: "There’s no definitive explanation for Oregon’s sudden exodus."

Discuss.
