Couldn’t even wait the 19 days to save $7.5 mill. Wow.

Wait are you calling 0 and 4 as examples of our weak secondary?

Frost will land somewhere, maybe next year as a asst or OC but he must have lost the locker room, as bad as his Nebraska teams were it has to be more then poor coaching……..?

With the new Big 10 media deal coming, they likely didn't even think twice about it.

Do they finally hire Craig Bohl as their next HC now?

Bohl is facing his own issues at Wyoming so I doubt it. There are a lot of other coaches with bigger profiles they'd go after now.

The talent on Nebraska's teams has essentially waned little by little every year since the early 2000s. They never had tier 1 (national title contending) talent under Bo Pelini, and it got slowly worse over his tenure. By the time Mike Riley walked in, the locker room was basically a 6-6 squad with above average lines. He found some hidden gems but the talent overall continued to wane. Then, Scott Frost's most talented team was probably in his first year, and by this season, the talent level is indistinguishable from Northwestern without much to be excited about on the recruitment front.

I don't know which way you go with it. Do you go with Craig Bohl and try to be a glorified Kansas State, and maybe get back to the Bo Pelini 9-4 seasons? Or do you go out and get an ace recruiter Mario Cristobal-type coach, which might again be boom or bust? I really have no idea at this point. Matt Campbell would be my first choice, I think, just to stop the bleeding.

Speaking of Big 10, they suffered a bit yesterday. Northwestern, WI, IA, Nebraska all go down.

It feels like the league has become tOSU and the 9 dwarfs w/ MI trending. Getting USC is looking more and more genius.
