Just play without the bay area schools. They aren't important.

Pac-12 now says no decision until Thursday. Not working through the weekend to get this done makes the conference look like even more of a joke.

Gotta be led in part by Chianti Dan. Probably another wine tour they've got to finish first.

Looks like the delay in making a decision is pissing off coaches and ADs.

The Pac-12 should announce a 10/31 restart and teams that aren't ready to go simply forfeit their first games.
Seriously, the daily testing will be in play and coaches only need 4-5 weeks to get their teams ready.
It's go time.

I think the easier way of saying it is that this season is more about playing than it is W/L so if a school is still dragging ass, it's okay if they miss a week or two.pezsez1 wrote:The Pac-12 should announce a 10/31 restart and teams that aren't ready to go simply forfeit their first games.

My understanding is the pac12 presidents are meeting today and governors have given their okay to play but I have heard if that includes all governors. Is this correct?
A horse race is a race, no one can know what will happen. The draft isn't a game of chance, except for the teams drafting. Generally the top 5 players know what to expect going into it.

Re: Opting back in?
I don't understand this either. It's hilarious to me that we demand to stick to the topic on a site that goes entire days without posts. Maybe it's the libertarian in me, but it feels like we can never elude the propensity to regulate everything out of existence.Duck07 wrote:
Not a hijack to bring up something that is quite germane to the discussion at hand. Why people get so sensitive to ancillary comments is beyond me. Without a Pandemic I don't think Penei is the kind of player who would have sat out the season but everything is different now and I've got no faults with any player who doesn't want to come back, especially if they have an obvious reason not to. One thing that didn't happen this year was a Supplemental Draft which would have really made for some great theater for draft eligible players (Penei would not have been one of them).

This was essentially Larry Scott and the PAC12's Lee Iacocca moment... "Lead, follow, or GET OUTA THE WAY!"

Next week is October. This is gonna get ugly, even if we decide to play.
