There’s a reason NFL teams aren’t knocking this guy’s door down to hire him as a scout or analyst. That said, it’s not a completely stupid move, for him. 1st round QBs have over 50% chance of being busts. If Herbert has a great career, no one remembers this article, or if anyone does he says “Herbert landed in a perfect spot with great coaches.” If Herbert follows the odds and fails, this guy will never stop talking about how he “was the only one” warning us about Herbert.

Not a bad strategy to make a name for yourself.

If anyone in the NFC North goes after a QB I think it may be the Lions over the Packers. Not sure anyone wants to see an Oregon QB go to Detroit though.

Seriously. I just want him to go somewhere where he’s not considered the savior of the franchise. It’s a weird dynamic. Can you imagine a team drafting a LB and pinning all their hopes on whether he turns out to be a pro-bowl caliber LB?
