I only saw a headline, but 2 more years would put him at 6 total. I assume that’s what is meant. Not 2 additional years on top of this one but 2 total.

He'll be a SO athletically this upcoming season instead of a SR. If stays through his SR athletic year, he'll have been a Duck from 2016-2022, which means a total of 7 different football seasons. Have to imagine that'll be some kind of record at the D1 level for football.lukeyrid13 wrote:I only saw a headline, but 2 more years would put him at 6 total. I assume that’s what is meant. At least his children will be able to cheer him on from the stands! He's gonna be old enough to be on the BYU roster...

Could this be foreshadowing of a fall with no football? Maybe the NCAA is doubting that there will be a football season leading to this decision.

Jason White, the Oklahoma QB, is the only one I can think of who had like 6 seasons of eligibility due to various injuries.greenyellow wrote:He'll be a SO athletically this upcoming season instead of a SR. Yes, there are others who have been granted this before. They was a QB from Houston I believe. Also while not specifically indicated, the episode with the former S&C coach played into this since Cam was impacted by that.StevensTechU wrote:I've never heard of this. Has anyone?

Re: McCormick gets 2 more yrs
In all honesty, I'm not sure I would want to be in Eugene for 7 years. I think I'd probably play this upcoming season and then see what the transfer market could offer me, for nothing else but a change of scenery. I still distinctly remember but bummed I was when I was a senior about leaving, but how ready I felt to leave as soon as graduation time hit.
