The conference is in trouble but I don't think one person at the top can solve all of it. Granted, I'm not that plugged in with every issue in the Pac-12 but we're right in line with the ACC and that sounds about right (per revenue numbers in the OLive article). 1/2 top dogs and the rest of the conference is very average. Conference also spread out across a massive geographic region (with arguably worse transportation infrastructure in the west). Total revenue distribution pot isn't that far off from the Big 12 either (10*39MM per school vs. 12*32.2MM per school). Hard to see the Pac-12 doing much better if the teams don't get better/more competitive.

I always felt it was the act big and you are big strategy (perception is reality).
