RB Cyrus Habibi-Likio enters transfer portal

Post by greenyellow »

Oregon's RB depth chart got a little more clear as Cyrus Habibi-Likio is entering the transfer portal. Have to think having both CJ and Dye back again and all the younger guys behind him made him look for a better opportunity for more carries. His departure puts them at 86 scholarship players so I expect another couple transfers by the time spring hits.

Appreciated his time here! Good attitude, and just never got a bunch of looks. Best of luck wherever he ends up.

Love Cyrus. Always felt he played out of position and should have been either a bully of a slot receiver or a fullback. Loved him for slot receiver most of all.

I think he would have made a great LB.

He did have that one great tackle of the jerk that had run on the field and wouldn’t leave!

It's down to Cal, Boise State, and Wisconsin for him.

He's most likely not going to be fixture in the NFL. He should have gone to cal instead of BSU. He'd get a great education and play at home.

I'll miss him!!! He's a great player and I've never understood with Cristobal trying to change Oregon into a power team why he wasn't the main runningback? I believe Lamichael James is one of the greatest Ducks of all time and Barner is in the top 10 RBs of all time but Chip Kelly preferred the smaller quicker backs. However under a new Cristobal system I don't get why Cyrus didn't get at least half of the carries.

Please show us any examples why you believe he deserved more carries? I’d rather he have gotten zero carries. He was slow, not real big or powerful.

Yeah, I could rattle off about 25-30 RBs off the top of my head we have had over the past 10-15 years that I'd rather see get carries over CHL; including 3-4 currently on the roster.

CHL was the: Remene Alston/Ayele Forde of our current squad.
