I do believe CHL did get a little bit of a bad rap and that Arroyo made him look worse. There were a few times where we had a crucial 4th and 1 and they would put CHL in and they'd run him up the middle against 11 defenders knowing that was going to be the playcall along with everyone who was watching, so CHL was destined to fail. I'm not saying he was by any means a good RB but he certainly was set up to fail multiple times by Arroyo's incompetence.

I agree that CHL was given no favors by often being put in situations where it was obvious he was getting the dive up the middle. We owe him a debt of gratitude for Washington 2019.

But he’s also just too slow. Poor acceleration, lack of wiggle. He might have been a good LB with his athleticism.
