Autzen “Nick-Name”?
I was watching college football live and so many iconic stadiums have nicknames:
- The Shoe
- Death Valley
- The Horn
- The Big House
- The Swamp
For kicks, I was wondering what Autzen’s might be if…. Because our O logo is literally made up in part by Autzen’s shape, I’d go with the “The O”. Ala Ohio States Horseshoe (shoe) shape name.

Autzen “Nick-Name”?
I’ve heard Autzen referred to as “The Zoo” by studio commentators exactly never.

Re: Autzen “Nick-Name”?
Autzen is a good enough original that there's no need for a nickname

Autzen is named after a former beaver player who donated the largest portion of the funds to build the stadium, is it not?

As I recall from a Documentary, the Father was a beaver alumni who owned a construction company and built the stadium for his Duck Son. Re: Autzen “Nick-Name”?
Just Autzen Stadium is fine with me. Years ago there was a thread on the ASU board with a bunch of Chuck-Norris-esque jokes kind of mocking the mystique of Autzen and how hard it is to win there. Some of them were pretty funny. My favorite was "when it rains in Eugene Autzen Stadium doesn't get wet; the rain gets Autzenized."

Do you mean muscle-bound mallard? The worst marketing shift ploy ever tried?

Re: Autzen “Nick-Name”?
It doesn't need a nickname but if someone put a gun to my head and made me choose I would go with Awesome Stadium.
As a temp nick name back in the Coach Kelly days, The Chipper would have been fun. ie "Washington heads into The Chipper this Saturday"

Re: Autzen “Nick-Name”?
Didn't they try to promote "the House of Loud" or something like that awhile back? Pretty lame!
If there is anything (somewhat) established it is "Autzen Zoo".
If we're fishing for new ideas, I would submit "the Animal House" or "the Autzen Animal House".
