Phil Knight, other alumni launch Oregon-focused NIL group

Post by greenyellow »

Looks like Phil Knight and several alumni, donors, and former CEOs are launching a company to help Oregon athletes monetize and manage their NILs. They've also brought Sabrina Ionescu on as chief athlete officer, an advisor to provide the voice of the athlete to the company.

Good luck to all the other teams out there. Savings for 3-5 of you, the rest don't stand a chance.

What a recruiting tool, I am sure some of the elite teams will follow……. As close as they can but still behind Phil and the gang.

Will be interesting to see if any other teams fight/protest against this as kind of an "agent" type of thing. And I'm guessing the NCAA may not have seen this type of thing coming. Hopefully those behind this have done their homework and know it is "legal" in the NCAA's narrow line of sight.

I hope it is and they flip the NCAA the proverbial bird!
