Moorhead Status?
Anyone hear anything about what might have happened? Some rumors out there but don't want to repeat them as they are just that, rumors.

Not long term or life threatening. (rules out heart attack).

Frankly whatever happened was apparently so bad he had to be treated in SF so until we hear definitively, I think its safe to assume it was something very serious and he may not be able to coach for a while either.jimmy12 wrote:Not long term or life threatening. (rules out heart attack).

A lot of assumptions— it could be an appendix

Not a dr but can’t a appendix be life threatening(if it burst)?

Hippa Law is for coaches as much as it is for student athletes... When I worked for the sheriff's department, we weren't even supposed to let other deputies know if an inmate was HIV positive, had hep C, or any other medical issues that weren't readily apparent.
A deputy was bitten by an inmate during a brawl, drawing blood. We were told we could not force the perpetrator to tell us whether he had any "issues", nor could he be forced to have a blood test to identify possible pathogens.
It worked out ok, but the deputy had to undergo regular testing to confirm the absence of such periodically for 3 years.
As far as Moorehead goes, it could have been a lot of thing, for instance, kidney stones, gall bladder, or several other maladies that require immediate intervention.
Some of those require considerably longer recovery than appendicitis... a strangulated hernia comes to mind.
