So I guess this will put an end to the possible Big Ten move since I doubt any conference is interested in Washington State or Oregon State.

Anyone who is an elected official worried about this BS, should be voted out. They are in office to control where their favorite sports team plays football.
A U.S. House representative down in Georgia literally copied a joke twitter account's tweet about having a right to tailgate and seriously tried to bring it up as a resolution. This is where we are.

I don't know if this relevant, but the B1G's commissioner is expected to leave to become the CEO of the Chicago Bears, he was the main reason on why the Big Ten got USC and UCLA.

Not sure it matters at this point. The move to the B1G for USC and UCLA is a done deal.

If anything it hurts Oregon’s chances of moving to the B1G.

I know, I meant it in the sense that it could hurt the chances of further expansion in the Big Ten.

I'm done with that. Not that it'll ever happen, but at this point I'd rather see the big12, ACC, and Pac12/10 take their top teams and form another conference

I’ve said that from day 1. And I get why the conference leaders are working that angle more, only 1 guy can be in charge, but that confrence would be as good as the SEC and BIG. Probably better than the BIG

All I've heard right now are just media deal stuff, hopefully we get some stuff done so all this mania is over.

Can we kill this thread until some actual tangible news about actual movement comes out? That was nothing more than a pointless bump.

Brett McMurphy claimed that George Kliavkoff will meet tomorrow with SMU in order to see if they can be added to the Pac-12, I've heard that San Diego State is also a strong candidate.

Meh, that’s rough, not looking good for the PAC.

I'm curious why the Ducks don't try for more relevant Power-5 schools? Some may be under contract with other conferences for now, but what about 2-4 years?

Are there any decent Independent schools available?

I just don't feel like this is a race. USC and UCLA are moving to a Power conference that's way out of their geographical area. Why don't we shoot for the same?

Thoughts?

Since the Big Ten is apparently done expanding for now, I think the only solution would be joining the SEC, even if that sounds very controversial, I would like to face schools like Alabama or Florida tho.

With the expanded playoff…serious question here…would Oregon be ok staying in Pac and adding a couple of teams? If they win the pac title they will be in the playoffs. Take their chances against Utah and udumb as opposed to Michigan and Ohio st?
