Am I just drinking the kool-aid, or is there a lot of reasons to be optimistic about this year? In my estimation, most position groups are better, coming off a year we beat Ohio State and won the Pac-12 North.
+QB - Definite upgrade. Imagine if we had Bo Nix last year. I'm not saying Nix is a world beater, AB was just that bad.
+RB - Call me crazy, but I think this group will do better than Verdel and Dye.
+WR - Losing Devon Williams sucks, but I think this year's group will be better. Cota is legit and likely won't even be a starter.
+OL - Moore leaves, but Steven Jones steps in at LT. More experience at all the other positions.
~TE - Jury's out, but I'm hopeful for a breakout year from Matavao.
-DL - Can't replace KT, but I love the interior and depth. Overall down, just because no KT, but not a huge drop off.
+LB - Flowe is back and backups are more experienced.
-CB - I think our staring 2 will be on par with last year, however, I'm concerned about depth after that.
~ S - No McKinley, but other guys are more experienced. Great depth. I'll call it a wash.
+ Coaching - Last year's team was so miserably coached, it can't get worse, right? I don't know about Tosh as a playcaller, so I hope Lanning keeps that responsibility.

Sounds like the star of camp so far, has been the Texas A&M transfer, Chapman. He’s gotten lots of praise from the coaches. Hope he can just stay healthy
