Whenever the Ducks manage to flip or simply recruit a high ranked player, be it through recruiting or the portal, detractors tend to list "Uncle Phil's $$$" or Oregon's supposedly excessive NIL offerings as the most obvious reason for their own failures or Oregon's successes.
Funny that many of the Oregon recruits who ended up elsewhere were reported to have far exceeded the $640,ooo NIL pachage that Bo Nix has secured, considering that Nix is a proven product, not a hotshot fresh out of HS.
