Post by greenyellow »

DL Taki Taimani has announced he'll be returning for 2023 and he's trying to get Dorlus to do so as well.

If they play in the bowl game its most likely they will return. I see Dorlus as returning. In this day and age, if a player wanted to leave for the draft, he wouldn't almost always not play in the bowl game unless it was in the playoffs.

Happy about this. I think Rogers is the only key DL we lose if Dorlus comes back? Can Popo get an injury redshirt and come back for a 7th year?

Casey Rogers is a Jr, Jordan Riley is a Sr along with Popo who likely gets a Medical RS for this year.

The DL is a big question mark for me. Seems like there are a lot of guys who could either pop or transfer, or anything in between: Keanu Williams (4* '20), Maceal Afaese (4* '20), Su'ava Poti (3* '19), Keyon Ware-Hudson (4* '19), Jake Shipley (3* '19), Treven Ma'ae (3* '19). Now we're signing something like 8 new DL in this class. Going to be a logjam.

I could see easily Poti, Afaese and Shipley transfer at this point.

Not good news, great news. He was a stud the last year he played.
