Lanning recruited Burch when he was at Ga so definitely knew him and surmising he felt he would fit his scheme now too.

I’m no expert but I think Burch has a higher ceiling and fits what the team needs more than Lucas. Not sure who is a better fit scheme wise as they both seem like good fits but after last season it was clear we’re desperate for high quality pass rushers which I think Burch is better at.

Burch has shown he can produce at the P5 level while Lucas hasn't yet. I think Burch was always going to be their top target.

Burch is more of a sure thing. The way Lanning and staff recruit finding future studs won’t be a problem. We need help now and Burch provides that more than Lucas.

Very curious what Lucas did at Texas A&M to get suspended, as well.

Probably can rule out stealing crab legs. That doesn’t get you suspended by Jimbo.

I was raised a Nole before going to Oregon. Story was identical at FSU with Jimbo. Remember Winston's..... colorful....... history of interaction with women.
