CJ Walker enters transfer portal
Due to all the uncertainty with COVID and health issues with family, SO forward CJ Walker has elected to enter the transfer portal. Sad to see him go since he had so much potential.

Ugh, that is a huge bummer. I really enjoyed his game. Will definitely be rooting for him wherever he ends up.

Chasing playing time...
Clearly has natural ability. BUT, He was given plenty of opportunity last year, and COULD NOT STAY ON THE COURT.
I will always remember how you could predict 75% of Walkers fouls before they would happen. Best of luck!

Stewart Mandel-"From a purely aesthetic standpoint, I much prefer to watch a good spread-rushing offense over a traditional Power-I offense, and Oregon's has been the most fun by far for the past several years. It's fast, its precise, and when Chip Kelly has the right quarterback (Dixon, Masoli) at the helm, the possibility of someone ripping off a 60-yard run exists on nearly every play."

He's also a freshman. He had potential to be a good starter.bigsugarduck wrote:Chasing playing time...

People really liked his game? Pretty much limited to dunking. Wasn't very skilled basketball player.

Yeah. CJ is a player I really am not that unhappy to see leave. Don't get me wrong. I thought his HS tape was amazing but it was a lot of flashy dunks and athleticism. But aside from a couple of games where he made some valuable contributions... I just didn't ever see his game developing to the point where he'd he a huge contributor. He seems little slight of frame to bang inside with all those 6'10'' Pac-12 "elbows out, butt out" centers as well. So I was not surprised when I heard Omoruyi was featuring so well in practice this past season.justin_f wrote:People really liked his game? Pretty much limited to dunking. Now. Of course. I'll be perfectly happy to eat crow if Walker fills out and plays well back east.
