This is a solid addition to the team. Her scoring dropped from the 20 points per game of the previous two seasons to a still very good 16 per game as a young teammate guard was able to share the scoring load which also resulted in a better shooting percentage from Peyton. She also passes and is a good rebounding guard.

Honesty with the 3 transfers they now have and Sammie and Sofia coming in, I hope they are done bringing in guards and add another big.

Priscilla Williams is more small forward than guard at 6'2", though 3 guard - small forward are fairly interchangeable now days.

Last year the 3 guard starting line-up was 5'5" 5'9" 5'9" with the substitutes being pure perimeter. This year that 3 spot will likely be from the 6-1 to 6'2" Sonia, Sammy and Priscilla with the 2 guard often being above average rebounding guards Peyton and Bella.

We may see Oregon be the most defensive oriented team of the Graves era. Big shot blockers at the 5 with some scrappy rebounders at 2-3-4.

Philli and Chance already have earned all conference defensive acknowledgements, Basham may be the best reserve shot blocker in the league and Bella has been a defensive stud everywhere she has played and I think she'll be a solid defender at Oregon too. And Grace though often outsized among the conference giants will always give a huge effort.

Defend and rebound every night while hoping to find an offense to help Grace.

She is a 5'11" Power Forward.

This team will be the most defensive oriented team in Graves coaching history. 5 players now with some serious defensive credentials. Maybe we can talk former ASU coach Charli Thorne out of retirement to be the Defensive Analyst for the team and install her Kung Fu Rugby mano a mano scheme.

She even admits she's 5'9", not 5'11".

In all likelihood. Chance Gray and Vandersloot will be good but probably not enough to carry this team very far.

Oregon was picked to finish 8th on media day. Probably fair for a loaded Conference in its last year. It certainly isn't cast in stone though as this team has a chance to be the best defensive team Graves has had. Offensively, it has several really good 3 point shooters, but other than Grace there isn't much offensive threat in the paint. When so much of the offense will be 3 point shots they'll be inconsistent offensively. Hopefully the defense will carry them through those cold spells enough to be a top 4 team in the league.

It is a tough conference when an Oregon State who unlike Oregon has a couple 5 star extra bigs is picked to finish 10th. Oregon has 3 Mcdonald All-Americans and is predicted to be 8th.

Biggest surprise of the exhibition game for me was Sophie Bell started as a true Freshman and Graves seemed to indicate she will continue in that role. (P Williams eligibility and Hammel concussion protocol didn't play and are probably the best % 3 point shooters on the team.)

Damn. The post sabrina rebuilding year has turned into a rebuilding era of years.
