Fred Van Vleet I think is a great comparison all-around.UOducksTK1 wrote:If anyone deserves it, it's Pritchard. He works so hard and doesn't complain or expect handouts. I like the comparison to Patrick Beverly. Completely different players, but similar attitudes towards the game of basketball.

Just noticing that Boucher is #3 in the league in PER....the gold standard metric...
Don't ask me to define how PER works though....

Stewart Mandel-"From a purely aesthetic standpoint, I much prefer to watch a good spread-rushing offense over a traditional Power-I offense, and Oregon's has been the most fun by far for the past several years. It's fast, its precise, and when Chip Kelly has the right quarterback (Dixon, Masoli) at the helm, the possibility of someone ripping off a 60-yard run exists on nearly every play."

Boucher 3rd in shot blocking, putting up like 20-10-3 the last 4 games. Dude is balling.
His shooting percentages are crazy good.

I had a little bit higher hopes for King. He and Wooten definitely left way too early.Bighonkingduck wrote:Pritchart 6 3 tonite for 20pts Bouch 12 its 5 blocks

It’s really hard to watch it happen almost every year. Another year or two at Oregon would be better in every way than spending those same years in the GL. Probably pays better too ha.OregonFan4Life wrote:I had a little bit higher hopes for King. It’s criminal that these guys get convinced to enter the draft when everyone knows it’ll end up with them stuck in the purgatory that is the GL.

On guys who left too early: Wooten would have really benefited from a few more years of college but it wasn’t his choice. He was having academic issues.
With Lou King, no idea why he couldn’t hold off for one more year other than $. He’s not anywhere near as special of a talent as Troy Brown, guys like him with average athleticism are a dime a dozen on the fringes of the NBA.

I wasn't aware of this, so was it coming down to either he leaves for the NBA or he transfers to a nobody? And it was his choice, he chose to not work hard enough in school if that was the case.GoDucksTroll wrote:On guys who left too early: Wooten would have really benefited from a few more years of college but it wasn’t his choice. Payton had a pretty good game the other night. Hit 6/7 threes and had 22 points.

Sounds like Jordan Bell just signed a 2-way deal with Golden State. We'll see if he sticks this time.
