Re: MBB P12T: Oregon v Cal/WSU (Mar. 9, Thu 2:30 PM P12N)
This is basically an NCAA tourney game. Lose and they are out. Winning and beating UCLA in the next game probably gets them in (and of course winning the PAC12 tourney would be enough). So, with the whole season on the line, look for them to show up uninspired and lose.

Oregon will face WSU, who beat Cal 69-52 in their first round game.

What an unlucky draw to get WSU. They are playing fantastic basketball right now and are highly efficient and do not make mistakes. They have won 7 games in a row. Oregon's guards are going to need to play well to have a shot in this one.

I’d rather play WSU instead of Colorado or ASU.

38-22 Ducks about 3 minutes left in the first half.
The curse of me. As soon as I posted this WSU goes on an 8-0 run 38-30 halftime.

This Oregon basketball team is frustrating, even more frustrating than the football team, which I didn’t know was possible. If this immature team knew how to play a complete 40 minutes this season would’ve been a lot better.

Richardson is a pathetic example of a point/shooting guard...Less than 5 minutes left in the game and he finally scores his first points? That is absurd...I don't care how well he distributes the ball...He needs to provide some leadership and skill, including scoring some points...

Turned it on for the last 28.5 seconds. Easy peasy, guess I wont delete the recording without watching.

They made that game so much harder than it needed to be. They can't keep going through so many dry spells against someone like UCLA like they did today. It's a good thing that Dante looks to be okay after rolling his ankle there late. It would be nice if Richardson didn't have an injury to his shooting hand as it severely limits him and the team offensively.

Guarantee, after 5 years of these “if only…” scenarios with Richardson, he’ll have a healthy campaign in the D league next year, find his way into meaningful NBA minutes, and show us all what could have been, if only….greenyellow wrote:It would be nice if Richardson didn't have an injury to his shooting hand as it severely limits him and the team offensively.
That feels right for Oregon.
I’d, be happy for the guy, but it’s a shame there’s always one thing or another between him and that destiny.

I will probably get skewered again, but oh well. Richardson was a no-show in another game the Ducks absolutely needed. 33 minutes, 2 points on 1-6 shooting, 4 assists , 3 TO’s, 1 board, 1 steal. Where was he when the Cougs went on big runs? Hopefully Shelstad has 10X the sack of Richardson. Can’t remember another Duck, all time, that just shrunk in games he was absolutely needed in. Great. Dude that holds the Duck record for most games played, and on lists of other accomplishments at UO. Wow. I will never, ever put him in any category as a Duck great. Not close.
