Why the surprise?
Big time player. I expected her to go to a big time program. Am I missing something?

Maybe a little surprising if Brito left because of Lombardi's coaching style. It would seem likely Lombardi picked up her style with several years under OU coach Gasso.
Of course this is just a guess. I'm not really sure what the story is with the recent softball defections.
