Nebraska suspends Kamyron Brown

LINCOLN, Neb. -- Nebraska coach Doc Sadler suspended backup point guard Kamyron Brown indefinitely.

Sadler did not give a reason for the suspension in a statement released Wednesday through the athletic department.

Brown traveled with the Cornhuskers to San Juan, Puerto Rico, where the team is playing in a tournament that starts Thursday with a game against Vanderbilt.

Brown played four minutes in last week's opener against South Dakota. The junior went through warmups before Monday's game against Arkansas-Pine Bluff but did not play.

Brown, from Anaheim, Calif., played two seasons at Oregon before transferring to Nebraska in April. He sat out the 2009-10 season while attending a junior college in California.

If anyone in Nebraska actually cared about basketball, we might found out what happened. Brown was a huge disappointment at Oregon. He's a nice guy, but I know that he clashed with Ernie. He definitely loved to party too.

Rumor has it that he was unhappy with his playing time in the first game of the season and confronted Coach Sadler about it, which is not something that Sadler would look fondly upon.

Some people just never get it. He was terrible at Oregon. Stop complaining and earn playing time.
