That's a lot of guys from east of the Mississippi, isn't it?
Not complaining, but what a diametric shift in recruiting philosophy from a short time ago, eh?

Re: Current 2010 offer list:
I find it amazing that out of the RB class on Rivals list only 2 are from Cali, and out of that list I bet lowest rated guy is a mid 4 star.
Also on Rivals Wr list only one Cali offer.
As noted lots of east/midwest offers.

Re: Current 2010 offer list:
Strange that the Ducks have offered so many players, yet I don't see a single quarterback on the list (unless I overlooked them). There must not be many quarterbacks out there that are jumping out to the coaches as obvious choices to jump on early.

Re: Current 2010 offer list:
yeah none currently offered although it sounds like Tyler Shreve from Cali is at the top of the list, I'm bettin we have no problem picking the QB we want this year.

Re: Current 2010 offer list:
Ducks are a favorite of Texas QB Jacoby Walker.
http://scoutcombines.scout.com/a.z?s=45 ... id=3527939
His Bio on scout doesn't list him having interest in Oregon but I no for a fact that he is very in love with Oregon and is hoping we offer.

Yeah, looks like we have some guys just waiting for our offer, but with limited spots we have to be pretty selective. Also those lists above only are guys with current offers, not one's with interest.

Re: Current 2010 offer list:
Interesting tidbit on Jacoby Walker...
http://blogs.chron.com/prepsports/2007/ ... pbell.html
"Walker dropped back to pass on a 1st-and-10 from the Cy Falls 42 and Walker went head to head with Cy Falls linebacker Derron Clebourn. Walker put his head down and rammed into Clebourn like a runaway freight train and picked up the necessary yardage for a first down. That play had the entire press box saying "wow."
Sound familiar?
http://blogs.chron.com/prepsports/2007/ ... again.html
Jacoby Walker made another great play after converting the 4th down. On a 1st-and-10 from the 20, he got hit as he was throwing by two Cy Falls defenders, but the ball fell comfortably into the hands of junior receiver Barry Ford for a touchdown.
JW looks like he is already in pretty decent shape size wise. He currently is listed as 6'2.5/195, but looks bigger.

To get an early jump on things, stalkers can purchase recruiting aids here:
http://www.amazon.com/I-Love-Jacoby-Wal ... B0016XYQCS

Only $76.99 gets you the official "I Love Jacoby Walker Sweatshirt"... Now that's cheesy!
Completed 66% of his passes as a junior, for 2000 yards and 20 TDs... But had 8 INTs.

Wow, we got some offers out all over the country. I really want Jacoby Walker, Ted Meline, & Malcom Jones, add that to our current commits & we've got an incredible class going on.

Re: Current 2010 offer list:
You'll notice in recruiting that the early offers go to the most talented players, obviously, which tends to be at a national scope. Then we'll start focusing on more local talent.dthomas=ddixon wrote:Wow, we got some offers out all over the country. But this year seems ridiculous in terms of how many players we've offered all over the country. The reason we see this is because Oregon will be taking a small class this year, so they can take the risk of going after the big fish.

First welcome to CFB, two if yore concerned commit and there won't be any problems and lastly we haven't offered that many it would appear, so what is he referring to...what are your thoughts?
