Harbaugh to 49ers
Just breaking now, agrees to 5 year deal. So who's gonna be the new man on top?

Look for Greg Roman, current Asst Head Coach to get promoted from within.

Curious if Luck reconsiders now.

Could be a tough sell. Not much fan support. Hasn't traditionally paid a lot. Following the best year in school history and a BCS bowl game victory. Whoever it is will probably never live up to Harbaugh.
On the plus side you've got Luck as your QB next year.
I'm still waiting to see Mariucci get hired somewhere. He seems to be a Bay Area guy.

Stanford is apparently interested in Chris Petersen. Boise just lost their OC today to Texas. It would be hilarious if they lost Petersen too.
“If everybody in this room just want to be real with themselves, this game could have went either way,” he said. “We turned the ball over a lot. We beat ourself. Just be real with yourself right now. We beat ourself.”

Re: Harbaugh to 49ers
Am I the only one that is extremely happy that he's gone? He was bringing Stanford's program back to life. Hopefully once Luck leaves, Stanford will be more of an afterthought.

I'd rather Stanford be a strong program than UCLA or Cal.

I would rather have another strong team in the league rather than a middling program that doesn't get the conference any respect.

Agreed, however, I'd rather have Oregon be the strong program than any of those teams. And with Harbaugh gone, I don't think Stanford will be going to BCS bowls again anytime soon.Handsome Dan wrote:I'd rather Stanford be a strong program than UCLA or Cal.
