New Uniforms
I do not like the new uniforms, very bland and not exciting at all. I expected them to be like the new jerseys that all the other teams are getting with the neat design on the back but it just all plain...

Re: New Uniforms
I agree. They are better than the old uniforms, but I was expecting to see more green instead of black on the white uniforms. Also, it doesn't look as if they got the new HyperElite uniforms that a lot of the other Nike schools have been getting. Let's hope that the ones they wear for the Civil War are a little better.justducky0 wrote:I do not like the new uniforms, very bland and not exciting at all. ya i agree they are better than the old ones they had but I am disseminated they were not the hyperelite ones like all the other school were getting. Do you think the away ones will be any better?

Re: New Uniforms
Probably not but I do hope they'll at least include some green on them. I do think the back jersey graphics on the HyperElite uniforms aren't all that noticeable on the white versions so they may be be on the away versions. It could also be that Oregon won't get them at all since they aren't a top-flight school (although Virginia got them and they aren't considered top-flight BB school) or Altman wants more traditional-looking uniforms.justducky0 wrote:ya i agree they are better than the old ones they had but I am disseminated they were not the hyperelite ones like all the other school were getting. My guess is that it was Altman.

Re: New Uniforms
If Altman is such a traditionalist, why is there no green on the new white uniforms and just black and yellow accents? I think there has to be more to it than just that. Maybe Oregon will be getting a couple white uniforms, like the football team does.fecta23 wrote:greenyellow wrote:Probably not but I do hope they'll at least include some green on them. Greens looked better than the old ones but I didn't like the black stripes on the sides since they don't show up all that well.

Re: New Uniforms
We should get another road uni that's the color of our Natty dark gray pants with the neon yellow around the numbers and a tree design on the back like other teams have. I liked the shoes, they look pretty good on the court.

Re: New Uniforms
The yellow shoes were a little jarring at first, but they go well with the green uniforms. I'm a little surprised that the team hasn't got the new HyperElite uniforms, with team-specific graphic on the back, but they could be waiting for next season to unveil them.buckmarkduck wrote:We should get another road uni that's the color of our Natty dark gray pants with the neon yellow around the numbers and a tree design on the back like other teams have. UVA might not be an "elite" bball program, but they have alot of history, and are usually a tournament team (or close) year in and year out.

Re: New Uniforms
It just seems odd to some of us that Oregon would not have Nike's top-of-the-line uniform technology, considering Oregon is "Nike U" and its history of uniform innovation with Nike. Just might be that Nike doesn't want to waste the tech on a bad team, Altman wanted something more traditional, or they are still working on a back design for next season's unis.Braveheart wrote:greenyellow wrote:Probably not but I do hope they'll at least include some green on them. Re: New Uniforms
Maybe they are trying to play down the design of the court by having bland uniforms?? Just a thought.

Or they are waiting on showcasing the nice uniforms until next year when we will actually have a decent team?wvduck34 wrote:Maybe they are trying to play down the design of the court by having bland uniforms?? Just a thought.

Re: New Uniforms
I don't know, I kind of liked them. It's out of Oregon's character for sure, but they are still pretty slick. I'm sure by next year we will have something different, I'm not too worried about Nike stifling it's innovation on us.

Going to miss the Maehl Man
