I am thrilled to see the progress of this team.
Kudos to Altman, his staff, and the guys who are busting their chops on the floor!

Re: Oregon @ Stanford
For some reason I felt pretty good about this game. Probably because we play defense now instead of just hoping we'd be "hot" like we did every night with Kent. Altman is amazing, I've been looking forward to next year this whole time but I'm really enjoying this season now. The effort & progress from this team has been really fun to watch.

Re: Oregon @ Stanford
Where did the shooting come from? 9-17 from 3-pt range and then 12-13 on FTs down the stretch shows that Altman has got this team improving instead of falter down the stretch. Even when their shots aren't falling, their defense can keep them in the game until they get going again. I sure as heck didn't think this team had a chance to get a win in the Bay Area.

Nice, I was right. Good win for the Ducks, man it's weird what good shooting can do for you!

Re: Oregon @ Stanford
Catron 15 pts
Strowbridge 13 pts
Sim 10 pts
Armstead 10 pts
Those 4 went a combined 6-12 and we hit 9-17 as a team from outside tonight.
+ 3 Offensive boards
+ 7 Rebounds
+ 4 Assists
- 1 TO
+ 5 Personal Fouls
This team's confidence is growing too and enough can't be said about how they are learning from past games and getting better. I didn't see the game, but I can only assume based on numbers and past games, that this is a team that has learned to attack the zone defense and feel comfortable pulling the trigger when they sink inside.

This is how I've operated for years. I'm waiting for the Cal thread so I can tell everyone we only win in Berkeley when we drain 19 treys.dthomas=ddixon wrote:oregontrack wrote:Well, looks like I have to s*** myself now. I'd, uh... Thanks for "coming clean" on your vow, oregontrack. Ooooh -- very bad choice of words . . .
Game at Cal on OSN/CSNNW, right (even though at the end of the online R-G story of the Stanford game it says FSN)?

Nice win on the road from the ducks. It's a confidence thing. Once the
shots start to fall you get more confidence. They play so hard. Each player
is giving their all. Altman and staff has really done a great job with these
kids. They believe in what there doing. Tremendous effort. For a team not
long on height and skill they really show their metal.
Cant wait to see next years team with improved talent. Altman took a ton
of flack last year when hired. Alot of people wouldn't give him the chance and
said he wasn't the right hire. I was hoping he would prove em wrong. So far
i think he has. Even in this team you can see his style and it is fun to
watch. Keep up the good job ducks....

Re: Oregon @ Stanford
Since it's on CSNNW, there is a decent chance of a simulcast on KEVU or KLSR in the Eugene area (FOX Channels 23 and 34).
If so, that would put it on the local DISH/DirecTV feed.

I would like to see it on KEVU or KLSR, but they seem to only broadcast home games on those stations. Maybe they'll do an away game for a change.woundedknees wrote:Since it's on CSNNW, there is a decent chance of a simulcast on KEVU or KLSR in the Eugene area (FOX Channels 23 and 34).
