Tajh Boyd announcement delayed?

Post by oreducks77 »

According to a well-respected poster (that seems to have connections) on Bucknuts.com said that Tajh Boyd won't be announcing tomorrow, and it could be another week or so...

according to sources......

"Tajh isn't going to commit tomorrow.....but he might within the next week or so".......

Man, I was sooooo looking forward to this being behind us tomorrow. So much for him wanting to give the "other" team time to find a different QB. Makes me wonder if tOSU pulled some moves behind the scenes. My confidence in landing him will go way down if he doesn't decide tomorrow.

My source just said Chip is officially back!
It will be announced at Autzen press conference tomorrow afternoon!

I feel the same way... the longer he puts it off, the worse it is for us. If he was gonna pick us today, and now is pushing his announcement back, it's because he's getting the east-coast-cold-feet "do I really wanna go that far from home?"... a lot of high school kids start to wimp out when push comes to shove.

OSU made a great late push from what i hear, i'd say it's 55/45 at this point in Oregon's favor. OSU has a good chance of getting a recruit that fits their system better before TP leaves so i still think Oregon is a better choice for Boyd, so do the scouts from what i hear. No offense but Boyd is a spread guy and his skill set is made for Kelly's style more than anyones'.

Tressel and tOSU must be pulling some tricks out of their hat. The longer he delays the more likely he chooses the Suckballs!

There has not been one source that said he would announce today.... I have been checking my daily paper with no mention a Boyd for a week or so.. They would be on the know for that type of announcement.. So what if he waits longer? He is a High School Senior just trying to make the best decision for himself.

This is true, nobody should be mad that he is taking his time deciding. I would just be mad if we don't get him and he goes to tOSU and never plays because he is always behind Pryor.

I haven't seen anything either. To be completely honest, I'd love for this kid to come to Oregon, but I also want the kid to do what he feels is best for him. This isn't just about football, it's about where he'll be living for the next 4-5 years and the education that he'll be receiving that he'll be using for the rest of his life.

I would love nothing more than to see Taj Boyd complete a TD pass to Bryce Brown in the L.A. Colliseum to beat the Trojans. However, if these kids feel that it's in their best interest to go to school somewhere else, then I have to wish them well.

By the way, I don't think that Terrell Pryor had bad intent by the way he handled his recruiting last year. The kid was getting hammered by us, Paterno, RichRod, Tressell, etc and still trying to go to school and lead his basketball team in the playoffs. He may have had the best of intentions, but sometimes things just don't work out the way you'd like. Personally, if I were him I'd have made the same decision. My Dad would come before any school 100% of the time.

All I'm saying guys is that these are kids and they're likely facing the first major decision of their lives. Let's try and cut them a little slack. The Ducks are gonna be fine.

Rant over. :D

Good post, Super Duck. Plus add to it that Boyd already committed two other times, so we can hardly blame the guy for taking his time to get it right (of course, Oregon) this time. In the end it should be Oregon, we just have to wait patiently... :|
