Good thing the next games are at home. I think the R-G said that home teams are 13-1 in the CBI so far.

Down to 8, about 10 minutes left. Doable, but gotta extend the D. Doesn't help when you put together a 6 point run and give up back-to-back treys.

Giving up offensive rebounds on missed free throws is also not encouraged when trying to make a comeback.

Re: Creighton vs Oregon Championship Thread
At least Oregon didn't get blown out, but getting behind by 17 didn't really help. It's real hard for anyone to come back from that. Creighton was shooting the lights out earlier, but cooled down a bit for Oregon to get back in it. I'm not really surprised by the FT disparity since Oregon was fouling a lot late. Oregon's pressure seemed to get to Creighton a bit so I think Oregon can easily take the next couple games at MKA, as long as they keep up the defensive intensity they showed in spurts tonight.

that opening stretch for Creighton was phenomenal.
If that had continued much longer, it would have been ridiculous.
Too bad Oregon's touch seemed to dissipate for a good portion of the second half.

Where was Singler tonight....I just saw part of the 2nd half, but from what I did see, he was a total non-factor.....

Though I have admittedly not seen too much Duck basketball this year, today was probably the worst game I've seen from Catron this year. Hopefully he can get it going in MKA; this team will need it.

Re: Creighton vs Oregon Championship Thread
Creighton's a tough team for us to match up with, considering we don't really defend the interior or perimeter all that well. Their two big guys need attention, and if this CBI has taught us anything it's that if other teams can shoot there's literally nothing we can/will do about it. Hopefully the crowd will be worth its weight -- great against Duquesne, a big step backwards against Boise -- and Creighton goes cold.

Does anyone know of a place in the Portland area to watch these games?

If you start calling the local sports bars, don't ask them "Do you have the Ducks BBall game tonight" but instead "Do you have HDnet?" A lot of places will just tell you they have the game so you show up so make sure they get the actual channel that the game is on.Lightning Strikes wrote:Does anyone know of a place in the Portland area to watch these games?

44-23 Oregon is up with 17 left in the 2nd. Getting layup after layup.

Re: Creighton vs Oregon Championship Thread
71-58 final, the team played great D tonight. Creighton was avg in the mid 80's for the tourney until tonight, now all we have to do is win 1 more.
