Pick Cover Athlete On NCAA 12

Post by freedjr »

Saw on ESPN Page to that on the NCAA 12, there's a vote to pick a cover athlete. You can pick between Nick Fairley, Mark Ingram, DeMarco Murray, and Jake freakin' Locker.

Really? Are you kidding me? I don't say it because he's a Husky, but of so many people who are actually good, why Jake? Must be his stellar record as a Husky. Or he's sleeping with someone at EA.

How could they possibly use anyone other Cam Newton? And he isn't even a voting option?

All Duck fans should vote for Jake Locker... He was a big part of making the Fuskies the team they are.

If an Army is in full retreat mode, the General is usually leading, right?

The Newton scandal could be playing a role here.

I would rather vote for Fairley than see Purple Geez on there.

looming scandal didn't stop EA from putting Reggie Bush on the 06 cover.

Maybe they learned from that.

Haha nice, btw those are crappy finalists. Honestly, Fairley is probably most deserving, but yuck overall.

I'm picking Fairley... the dude basically won Auburn a natty all by himself.

And a huge wtf@ Jake Locker. REALLY??? What about LaMichael James or Darron Thomas, or even Cliff Harris? Or perhaps Andrew Luck?

Jake Locker shouldn't even be in this discussion... that's like nominating Rebecca Black for female vocalist of the year.
Willie Taggart is a dick.

Since all of the Oregon players you mentioned are still in college, there's no way they could be considered. It's just a weak year for quality players to put on the game. Any other year, Cam Newton would be on it but his off-field issues are what took him out of the running.

Nick Fairley is the most talented on the list, I'd probably lean that way. Mark Ingram is a cool dude though.
Remember, remember, the Fifth of November, the Gunpowder Treason and Plot. I know of no reason why the Gunpowder Treason should ever be forgot... But what of the man? I know his name was Guy Fawkes and I know, in 1605, he attempted to blow up the Houses of Parliament. But who was he really? What was he like? We are told to remember the idea, not the man, because a man can fail. He can be caught, he can be killed and forgotten, but 400 years later, an idea can still change the world. I've witnessed first hand the power of ideas. I've seen people kill in the name of them, and die defending them. But you cannot kiss an idea; cannot touch it, or hold it. Ideas do not bleed, they do not feel pain, they do not love... And it is not an idea that I miss //////// Follow me one Tumblr/blog http://f***-kp.tumblr.com/

Fairley and Ingram seem the most deserving, but this year's list of possible coverplayers just seems real lackluster.
