USC is a mess right now, so it is possible. However, winning on the road is obviously a lot tougher than winning in the friendly confines of Mac Court.

Lets go ducks. This is huge for a young team to finish the year strong. Really motivates in off-season. I think we should keep pressing as we did second half against OSU and apply the pressure hard to SC. This is a winnable game

I'd say we have like a 25% shot at winning. Even if we don't, I'm still happy with how we played down the stretch

Dude.....no. Winning two games over cellar dwellars in the conference is not very good. I don't see how anyone can be "happy" after a season like this.

Maybe our standards have been lowered so much by Kent's constant broken record of, "We're so young & inexperienced, we're so young & inexperienced, we're so young & inexperienced, we're so young & inexperienced, we're so young & inexperienced".....maybe that was his strategy. Say it so many times people will be hypnotized & start to believe it.

Yeah after I posted this I figured you'd say something like that. I meant I'm happy because two weeks ago I would've expected to lose out and go 0-18. To of won two straight and see actual signs of improvement makes me happy.

Now, if you had told me at the beginning of the season that we would lose to Cal then beat Stanford and OSU, I would've been actually a little disappointed. But things have changed a lot, and my expectations are much lower.

I actually was somewhat pleased too. With the way we've played all season, two wins in a row made me want to rush the court with all the students. Split with the LA schools & win a couple in the Pac 10 touney & things are definitely looking better going into next season.

I love how OSU is called a cellar dwellar by you even though had we not beat them they'd be in the top half of the pac-10

Yeah and "if your Aunt had balls...." Fact is that OS is not an upper tier Pac 10 team. They will be playing in no meaningful post season tourney (barring a miracle run), they are a year away from a 0 win Pac 10 season, and even in what looks like the down year of Pac 10 play, they couldn't finish in the top half of the conference.

Cellar Dweller? No you're prob right. Much improved? Undoubtedly. Should they be considered a marquee win pointing us in the right direction? Hardly.

I put the beevs in the "cellar dweller" catagory because of the last 4-5 years. They are a perrenial cellar dwelling team. this year they aren't but when you think of their program you think of a bottom Pac 10 school. They are breaking out of that but this year they still fall under the category of "cellar dweller". IMO.

Just looking through some stats... A few things you guys may not know:

-Longmire leads the team in 3 point percentage (43%)
-We are the only team in the pac-10 not to have a player average over 2.5apg (7 of the teams have at least one guy averaging 4.5apg or more)
-We are second in the conference in FT's attempted.

(Geez, if we could shoot a better percentage, that could be the difference between a few wins/losses)
-We are last in FG% (40.7%), way behind anyone else.
-Porter is the only player who has shot over 200 FGs, but with less than 40% shooting (This is out of 32 players, yikes)
-Tajuan Porter has 269 made 3 point field goals.

The assists stat bothers me, because it seems like that has been a problem the last few years. Translation: we need better point guard play.
