The MSU Scout basketball forum says he's a Duck, and they can't believe it.

WOW! Even during the worst season in the program's history, Ernie is able to pull a gem out of his hat. There can be no more excuses. This team is loaded and has more balance than it has ever had.

Question: Does this buy Ernie another year? I can't imagine Wilson would be too happy if he is fired.

I find it very interesting that Kent can get all of these "east coast guys" even after poor seasons, while Belloti cannot get them even after really good seasons.

I think it pretty much guarantees Kent will be back. Like you said, no more excuses.

I have a feeling that Ernie is great at dealing with parents. His graduation rate is a huge sell to them.

Imagine this lineup:

C Dunnigan
F Catron
F Wilson
G Humphrey
G Sim

I like Porter but I would rather see him come off the bench. I think he has a little Iverson in him in that he plays better when he is creating for himself.

WHOOO, welcome Jamil. This team just got a lot better. The Michigan state fans are idiots, calling him a dirt bag

That's how I found out about the thread I linked you all to, they were all watching that thread like I was to see what was going down. If you read the first few pages they were pretty confident in getting him too. Said he was a top 20 player before getting hurt.

If he's fired as coach, could hire him to run the new athletics academic center?

I don't know i'm a fan of

5- Dunnigan
4- Crittle
3-Wilson
2- Humphrey
1- Sim

That way catron and porter can come off the bench, I like porter but I do agree the Ducks play better when he pushes it and I'm becoming a big crittle fan

Basketball recruiting is so much different when it comes to distance. Since so many players go for only 1-2 years, they dont care how far it is because its only a short stop before going pro.

Hopefully he lives up to the hype, unlike Hairston. I would consider this starting lineup:

Sim
Porter
Dunigan
Crittle
Wilson

Brown, Humphrey, Catron, Wiley, Longmire, Jacob, Singer and Williams off the bench. They key will still be defense, but that team has a ton of potential. Like I said, maybe a point guard away from being really special.

THis kid doesn't quite have Hairston hype. Hairston was a 5* guy and a top 10 national recruit. Wilson is a 4* guy. Still, with last year's class no longer being freshmen, I think it's fair to expect an appearance in the big dance next year. Anything less could be considered a disappointment.
