Can't believe ESPN would do this. Craig James obviously is behind this, and it is quite pathetic. I don't always agree with Feldman, but he certainly did not deserve this.

It appears the linked article is based on information from Sports By Brooks which, as we know all to well, tries to make a story as lurid as possible. The phrase "garbage in, garbage out" sprang to mind. On the surface it seems a rather egregious action by ESPN,have you seen any mainstream articles that may give the clearer reason for this?

Whether or not this is true, this model of sports news being released by the same organizations that enter contracts with conferences and even specific teams is troublesome. Can anyone seriously rely on ESPN to report objectively about Texas now? They pretty much swept the Rachel McCoy thing under the rug. Deleted posts and comments about it, etc.
I think that down the road, some of these types of sports news cover ups are going to become public scandals.

Are we to view ESPN as a 'Booster' of the Texas program??? Where is the NCAA on this one?

espn said this was not true. they also said it in a way that basically went like this: none of this is true. we don't know what you are talking about. he was never suspended. he is now back to work and has assignments again.

I don't know how it can't be seen as the mother of all PR advantages. Apparently, the public is supposed to accept the line: "Trust us. We'll be professional about it."duck55 wrote:Are we to view ESPN as a 'Booster' of the Texas program??? Where is the NCAA on this one?

Doesn't that mean he was gone?USUaggieDuck wrote:espn said this was not true. they also said it in a way that basically went like this: none of this is true. we don't know what you are talking about. he was never suspended. he is now back to work and has assignments again.
Stewart Mandel-"From a purely aesthetic standpoint, I much prefer to watch a good spread-rushing offense over a traditional Power-I offense, and Oregon's has been the most fun by far for the past several years. It's fast, its precise, and when Chip Kelly has the right quarterback (Dixon, Masoli) at the helm, the possibility of someone ripping off a 60-yard run exists on nearly every play."
