And then gave Hamilton to Denver as part of the the Miller/Felton trade.
So in essence we gave up Miller, Fernandez, and a 2nd rd pick for Felton. Seriously??? Other than age, is there a huge gain in Felton over Miller?
Last year we had a chance to get at least 1 and maybe 2 late 1st rd picks for Fernandez and we passed. To top it off we draft 2 more guards. So that gives us now like 7 guards. I guess that's what you get when you don't even have a GM to run your draft.
To me it was another safe or mediocre draft that doesn't really move Portland up in the Western Conference. Until Portland can land some more dynamic, healthy players, they won't be anything more than first round fodder.

I don't think the age issue is so easily dismissed. Portland's been looking for their PG-of-the-future since Stoudamire left. Andre was always a 2 year stopgap, now they've got their PG for the next 5-6 years.
Rudy is horrible in every aspect of the game of basketball. He's not a loss.

I'm with you concerning Rudy, he simply was not producing for us the past two seasons. People are worried that he will break out for Dallas, but I think that has more to do with where he is going than what he has shown while in the league.
As for Felton, I'm willing to give him a shot even though I was hesitant to like the deal at first. Felton seems very happy to be in Portland, and he could make our team more of a running squad. I'm just glad that we got a point guard that might improve our team without giving up Batum in a deal.
Blazers make qualifying offer to Oden, making them able to match any teams offer or they could give him a long offer. I would offer 3 or 4 years for 30-40 million, I don't think there's much out there even decently players. Come on Greg stay healthy please, I think I'm one of few people in the state who want him sign long term now.
Apparently Rudy signed a 4-year deal with Real Madrid that will start after this season(not that there will be one). So our deal is looking pretty freaking good now if this is true.
