Mixed bag for Pac-12 this weekend
ASU lost to Illinois of all teams, WSU lost to SDSU, UCLA lost big to Texas and UW lost to Nebraska. Good news is that Oregon, Cal, Colorado, Utah , USC and Stanford took care of business like they were supposed to.

The ASU loss hurts the most, the Sun Devils are supposed to be the favorites in the Pac 12 South. Hopefully Illinois does well in the Big 10 so it doesn't look too bad.

It’s too early to tell but I think they will end up dropping three in conference play.

Whats sad is that while everybody wants to knock the PAC12 for losing these big games, no other conference will step up and play a comparable OOC schedule. Whats even worse...while all of the other conferences want to judge, their OOC records are not exactly great.

Auburn beats Miss St by 7pts, after almost losing to a low-end WAC team
Bama beats Penn St...but Penn St almost lost to Temple the week after, so that 16pt victory looks..eh.
Auburn goes down to Clemson...yes, the same Clemson team that was 7pts away from losing to Wofford (1AA).
UK goes down to Louisville
USC beats Army...by 3pts
Arkansas beats Troy...by 10pts
The SEC has only played 3 teams OOC currently ranked in the top 25. Out of those 3, LSU over Oregon is their only W, giving them a record of 1-2. However, UF plays FSU, UGA still plays GT, USC still plays Clemson, Vandy still plays WF, and Arkansas still has to play Texas A&M. The best is yet to come from the SEC OOC schedule.
There are 8 teams that are not from the PAC12 currently ranked in the top 10. Half of them (4 out of 8) have been scheduled by PAC12 teams. Also, 6 teams from the current top 25 have faced teams from the PAC12 as well as many teams that fall just short of the top 25. Teams like Missouri, Houston, SDSU, and ND. Ow...and we played all these teams with 12+fewer OOC games then the other conferences.
The Big12 is the only conference that has won big when they were supposed to, with few blemishes on their record...but once again, their OOC schedule pales in comparison to the PAC12.
So why they busting our balls...is it because we seem to be the only conference that has a pair?

ASU could easily...USC, Oregon, and Stanford...or 2 out of those 3+1 upset.
Illinois...unlikely, but possible. They have looked pretty good thus far and only Wisconsin and maybe Michigan look good enough to beat them right now. They would only play Nebraska in the Championship game, but it Wiss beats them that won't happen. OSU and Penn St woud almost be considered an upset at this point.
