Missouri at No. 1 Oklahoma (Mizzou can't hang with OU)

Tulsa at No. 4 Boise State (Boise Big)

Would shock the hell out of me...though...Vandy putting 30 up on Ole Miss makes me think that this might happen.Vanderbilt at No. 12 South Carolina (South Carolina has looked pretty bad... fingers crossed)

Top 25 Matchups
Missouri at No. 1 Oklahoma (I have to go with UO. However, I think OU is a very beatable team.)
No. 2 LSU at No. 16 West Virginia (Possible upset if WV can get the lead and hold on. However, I can't bet against LSU when they are playing a Big E team)
No. 14 Arkansas at No. 3 Alabama ("Very interested in this one"-That makes two of us! The only way to beat Bama...IMO...is to spread them out and complete some passes down field. I don't know enough about Ark to comment on spreading them out, but I know they can air it out. Should be fun to watch if both teams show up!)
Tulsa at No. 4 Boise State ("fingers crossed"-Mine to. I sure hope that no Tulsa players die in this one. BSU rolls!)
South Dakota at No. 6 Wisconsin
No. 7 Oklahoma State at No. 8 Texas A&M ("Good for the Y'all no matter what the outcome is"-+1. I'm picking OSU. This team is very good!)
No. 9 Nebraska at Wyoming
No. 10 Oregon at Arizona (N. Foles is 126att/95comp-76%, 7TD's, and 0INT's
) N. Foles is easily one of the top 5 QB's in the nation. I think Oregon will win by a couple scores if we see C. Harris and J. Boytte playing well. If not, it could be a close high scoring affair.)
No. 11 Florida State at No. 21 Clemson (Both over-rated, but FSU is still a better team then Clemson)
Vanderbilt at No. 12 South Carolina (The #1 rushing offense in the SEC vs. the 4th best rushing defense in the SEC. USC passing offense is horrible, but Vandy is worse. USC's passing defense is horrible, while Vandy's is pretty darn good. They lead the nation with 10INT's and have only allowed opponents to a 49% completion rate. I am stepping out on a limb...and picking Vandy in an upset)
No. 13 Virginia Tech at Marshall (Though Va Tech seems determined to lose one that they shouldn't.)
No. 15 Florida at Kentucky (UK is the new Vandy)
Rice at No. 17 Baylor (I like Baylor. They are fighting back.)
UTEP at No. 18 South Florida
Portland State at No. 20 TCU (it's like being paid to put your 5yr old in the ring with Mike Tyson)
San Diego State at No. 22 Michigan (I am calling the upset!)
No. 23 USC at Arizona State (I guessing!)
Western Michigan at No. 24 Illinois
North Carolina at No. 25 Georgia Tech (far and beyond, GT is the most explosive offensee in the nation right now...and I have the numbers to prove it!!)

Re: Week 4 Polls / Top Matchups
Because it is week 4 and when most teams haven’t played anyone yet and they have played a conference and a Big East team and won both. Plus they have talent…I doubt they hold on to a spot in the top 25 though. They will most likely lose to Virginia Tech, Georgia Tech, and Miami.UOducksTK1 wrote:Why is Noirth Carolina ranked? Re: Week 4 Polls / Top Matchups
For sure, but it seems like UNC always gets the nod over more deserving teams, just because they are UNC.. Illinois should get the nod over UNC though.Bud Lee wrote:Because it is week 4 and when most teams haven’t played anyone yet and they have played a conference and a Big East team and won both. I think you’re right…I think in the long run Illinois is going to have the better record and shown to be the better team. It is just after week three, their wins are not as sexy as the Tar Heels. They have beaten a 1aa team, won unimpressively in their matchup against Arkansas State, and barely beat ASU.
You’re also right in the thought that certain teams get ranked because of “who they are” and not what they have done this year though. It is one of many problems with the poll system.
