Could Bellotti stepping down help land Brown??
I don't know if this is too far fetched but perhaps could Bellotti's resignation could help us in the Bryce Brown sweepstakes. He clearly has a great relationship with Chip Kelly, and with Kelly moving into the head coaching position could be another positive for Oregon while Brown is weighing his options. Thoughts? or am I crazy.

Doubt it changes anything with Bryce Brown.

Actually, I think there is a chance it helps with Brown. Brown and Kelly seem to have a great relationship, and now Kelly will be the main man at Oregon. Between Jamil Wilson, this Bellotti news, Brown, Kent's future, etc, it's definitely an interesting time frame for Oregon and their fans.

But Bryce knew that MB would be gone in a year or so anyway. I really doubt that changes much. Even if MB was still the coach, Bryce would still be around CK all the time.duckgrad99 wrote:Actually, I think there is a chance it helps with Brown. Brown has said numerous times that he is closest with Chip Kelly so I dont think this will be a major issue. All the guys in this class knew Bellotti wasnt going to be around for awhile.

Is it possible Bellotti made this announcement at this time since Brown plans on announcing Monday? My guess it it probably doesn't matter to Brown whether Bellotti or Kelly is the coach. But with Brown who knows.

We can move on Monday?
I remember when we said that on the day Pryor said he was going to sign.
As far as Kelly and Brown go. I imagine he counted on being around him either way. But, maybe it will make him think twice in regard to who he wants to be associated with for the next few years. There is such a contrast between Kelly and Kiffin. One is widely respected by other coaches and players, gets good press. The other is despised by the rest of the NCAA, the media hates him. I'll let you guys determine who is who there.
