Hearing Great News For Johnson
Hearing good things for Johnson. However SDSU I hear is coming on strong for Johnson who hails from the same area as the school.

It would be great to get him. I hope it works out. Not only is he a stud, but my last name is Johnson and it is cool to be able to wear the jersey's with the right name on the back.

Let me see, SDSU or Oregon? Can't imagine thats much of a choice unless he really wants to stay put. SDSU has a totally new coaching staff and there's a lot of ink in the papers down here about how they should just drop football alltogether.

Re: Hearing Great News For Johnson
The rivals article from today says he LOVED his visit. He will visit UW then decide. Likes SDSU's coaching staff and UW's. Watch out for Washington, I'll be Sark can make a good pitch with no talent at WR or DB to get in his way.
However as Mops said we are leading and looking good.

Living here in San Diego, I can tell you that it would be an absolute joke if he chooses San Diego State. By the way, do we want Johnson as a receiver or defense?

You hit the nail on the head here. I have heard some things that lead me to believe Washington could potentially be a very serious threat for Johnson.jhopduck wrote:Watch out for Washington...
I can't imagine that SDSU is a serious threat, simply because he would have to be completely out of his mind, for a variety of reasons, to pick them over multiple Pac-10 offers.

Yeah, but in all honesty UW does have some young talent at WR that MB wanted, so to say they have none is false. I know for a fact UO really wanted both Kearse and Boyles. UO seems to be needing a couple more WR in this class I think we get Johnson.

Re: Hearing Great News For Johnson
Very true. Ty was successful in far too many recruiting battles against the Ducks for my liking. Many of them were in-state Washington kids, so Ty had a big advantage in that regard. Regardless, the Oregon coaches still should have lost fewer battles than they did against that program in shambles, in my opinion.buckmarkduck wrote:Yeah, but in all honesty UW does have some young talent at WR that MB wanted, so to say they have none is false. And lets not forget we have been his favorite from the beginning...Unless we told him he'd be playing a position he does not want to play I think we are in pretty good position!
