No, I abhor the SEC's culture of winning above all-else. Student-athlete has no legitimate meaning in the South, it is simply a facade so that all yall Gumps can feel some sort of level of dominance over others by vicariously living through the achievements of teenage boys and then gloating about it on the message boards of a team that has no current relevance to your team (well, if it weren't for the fact that you're a bieber fan...).

Of course, if the Gump players had to pass exams by doing something more than simply staying within the lines while coloring you might not be so arrogant. But of course, I'm sure you graduated Magna Cum Laude from Alabama right? Or was it Summa?

It's very disappointing but I guess if you win games & get to the title game, you don't have to give a rip about sportsmanship.

It's called pandering to your audience.
Most definitely. Losers are gum on your shoe & don't deserve respect. Whatever floats their boat! Works for them in recruiting & BCS games.

Just trolling....According to US New & World Report rankings, Oregon is ranked 101 and Alabama is ranked 75. So much for your "hillbilly, redneck, stupid, etc." argument. Also, LSU is WAY down at 128.

Big difference between scoring 40 and watching a soccer game. And lets be honest, that's what the last game was. Well, sort of. I think the player in red was thinking too hard about the date with his sister after the game to concentrate enough to kick a ball into a net.

Ever watch how many goals are missed in an actual soccer/futbol match?

I think it was an apt comparison.

I predict that Bama will win. And it will show what a joke the BCS really is.

Um. Lets break this down, Mr. Hurt Feelings.

A) Did you watch the Cal vs. Stanford game? The UCLA vs. Washington State game? An SEC vs. SEC game isn't as interesting as a multi-conference match-up. Seeing which conferences top dog is best adds interest that isn't there in this game.

B) This game was already played. It was already hyped up as a HUGE, AMAZING, "GAME OF THE CENTURY" match-up. How arrogant can you be to think that fans of other programs give that much of a rip about your program to want to see them play the same teams more than once in a season?

C) You have your standards a little mixed up. We don't need teams to score 40+ points for a game to be exciting. A defensive stand-off is great as well as a shoot-out. But, at least score a damned touchdown. I'm sorry to break it to you, but calling a game in which NO touchdowns were scored at all "The Game of the Century" is an insult to the game of football. "The Most Boring Game Since Before the Forward Pass"... "The Game Most Similar to Rugby"... maybe you'd have something there.

I'm sorry that the game doesn't have appeal to many people due to those reasons. I'm sorry that finding out that other fans aren't as into Alabama came as a shock. Hopefully, you can muster up the morale to still enjoy the game, knowing that not everyone else is paying attention. I'll do my part to help. Post an address and I'll send $5 for a Happy Meal.

Coach Les is not in the habit of putting down other teams...and…honestly, I do not think he was doing that here. He talked y’all up big before and after the game and I think that is all he is doing here. Also, you can’t really blame him for saying Bama is the toughest team that we have played this year since they are the only team that came close to beating us.

On the topic of “high” points vs “low” points….there are extremes on both sides. This bowl season the Baylor vs Washington game and the WVU game was ridicules and not entertaining at all…unless you like that kind of thing. Same goes for the Bama vs LSU game back in Nov., I loved it because I love a defensive matchup and there were a lot of outstanding defensive plays made in that game like the take away pic in the 1 yard line. But I understand that is not for everyone.

With that said….I’m calling a 28 – 10 LSU victory tonight.

Like I said, when you're in the heat of media day & you have tunnel vision, that's what happens. I'm saying that it's just a difference in coaching styles and for the Ducks, it rolls to the current players. You never see any Facebook, Twitter or media quotes (except for Cliff Harris about "our little brother") that ever disparages the other team or for that matter, any team whether they've played them or not. It's just how he rolls!

I think if LSU wasn't our opener, things might have been different. But I'm not going to make excuses as you guys won fair & square and your team is riding on a cloud right now. Good luck to them today!
