Re: Vainuku Looking For More Offers
What sucks is that it seems that Oregon goes after players (ie Pryor/Brown) that are looking to create drama with whatever school they're intersted in. Here's a kid that I know personally.....and he's a STUD of a player (in the mold of Rey Maualuga)and WANTS to be a DUCK and OREGON is "sitting on its hands!" WOW!!!! Oregon needs to take advantage of these "regional' kids that want to be here @ Oregon! I guarantee you.....if OREGON offers, he'd be a DUCK in a second!!!

From talking with him it does sound like he is VERY interested in Oregon. I'd agree with you Poly that we need to focus on some kids more on the west coast but in this year's class we need to be very picky about who we offer and take due to the lack of offers we can give. In any other year he would get one by now IMO.
There will be lots of kids thsi year who wanted to go to Oregon and couldn't because of no room.

That's exciting news for the program that there will be so much demand for scholarships.
I do feel a little bummed that we are low on schollies though. I wish we could grab a few more recruits this year.
I was wondering, is this a year we overbook or stay closer to scholarship opennings? If we overbook, does that open up chances for someone like Vainuku?

Re: Vainuku Looking For More Offers
I totally agree w/u mops! However....OREGON has some made huge mistakes in the recent past. Example....Christian Tupou (Fenuki's younger brother)wanted to come to Oregon in the the worst way, but Oregon had offers to BOTH of those BLUE CHIP recruits Simi ? and Wade.....and both ended up NOT coming to Oregon. Now Christian is ALL LEAGUE @ SC and Simi/Wade never dawned the GREEN/YELLOW. Yeah...I know that was due to academics for the both of them.....but this kid IS making the grades necessary to be here at the U of O and I'd hate to lose a good kid like this to the likes of SNEAKY Pete and Neuweasel! We may be loaded @ LB......but you can never have too many! Academics/injuries happen.....
